Cody Talarico
Senior Coordinator, K-12 Partnerships
Cody Talarico is a musician, educator, and all-around arts fanatic who believes that music isn’t just a subject—it’s the bridge that connects us all. Before joining Music Will, Cody served as the Arts Education Specialist at the Nebraska Department of Education, where he supported and led music, visual arts, media arts, dance, and theatre and a music teacher with the Bellevue (NE) Public Schools. His commitment to the field also extends nationally as the Vice President of SEADAE (State Education Agency Directors of Arts Education).
A lifelong learner, Cody holds a Master of Music with an emphasis in Education and administrative endorsements from the University of Nebraska Omaha, alongside a Bachelor of Music from Hastings College (Hastings, NE). Deeply rooted in pedagogy, he is certified in Orff Schulwerk and has completed advanced training at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, George Mason University (Fairfax, VA), and St. Thomas University (St. Paul, MN). Whether he is presenting at conferences or reviewing grants for the National Endowment for the Arts, Cody’s mission is simple: ensuring every student has the chance to learn through and express themselves with music and the arts.
Cody lives in the Omaha, NE, area with his family, where he continues to perform professionally. For him, the greatest joy of this work is witnessing that "spark" when music and the arts bring a community together.
Music Will connect us.
