Attention Teachers and Parents/Guardians!

We’re thrilled to invite you to submit videos of student performances for Music Will’s Virtual JamFest!

The 2025 Music Will Virtual JamFest is an exciting platform for popular music ensembles to showcase incredible student talent across various genres, including pop, rock, Latin, R&B, soul, hip hop, and country. Students from preschool through undergraduate are encouraged to participate!

Submission Details:

Who can submit? Individual students or groups currently enrolled in P-12 or undergraduate programs.

What to Submit? Performances may feature original music or covers.

Student Participants will enjoy publication of their performance on Music Will’s Exhibition Page and a chance to win prizes, including gift cards!

Applications Open: March 20, 2025

Submission Deadline: April 16, 2025, by 11:59 PM PT

This is a non-competitive opportunity for students in grades preschool-undergraduate.  Applications close on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at 11:59 PM PT.  We look forward to featuring your performance!

INSTRUCTIONS

For files 25 MB+, please upload your song via http://wetransfer.com and send the link to [email protected].  

Before uploading, make sure your file's name includes the name of the student performers.

Release Forms
Each student participant must submit a completed Media Release form.

Digital Media Releases are available for smaller groups
For larger groups, please print and complete physical Media Release forms (English/Spanish). Submit your forms in the order of your list of student names and email the .pdf file to our team at [email protected].

Forms must be submitted by April 16th.


Only teachers and parents/guardians who are US residents 18 and older can submit entries. Entries must be received between March 20, 2025, 9 AM ET & April 16, 2025, 11:59 PM PT. See Official Rules for details.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Virtual JamFest Rules

  1. The Virtual JamFest opens on March 20, 2025. All submissions must be entered by 11:59 pm PT on April 16, 2025.
  2. Each performance must be by a student or students currently in grades P-12 or undergraduate.
  3. Performances must feature an ensemble of two or more student musicians. Solo performances are not eligible.
  4. Song Duration: 3-5 minutes
  5. Submissions must be in video format. We suggest .mp4.
  6. Students can be featured in multiple songs, but there is one prize entry per student participant.
  7. Live Performance Requirement: All music must be performed by the student ensemble. Backing tracks, pre-recorded elements, loops, samples, or instrumental/karaoke tracks are not permitted.
  8. Adults may accompany students on recordings, but this must be noted on the entry form.
  9. Submissions must be made by teachers or parents/legal guardians.
  10. Each student participant must submit a completed Media Release form. Choose between the Digital Media Release form (available in multiple languages) or print copies for scanning and uploading (available in English / Spanish).
  11. By submitting a Songwriting Entry, participants and their guardians agree to abide by the Official Rules.

  • Contact Information for the adult submitting on behalf of the student(s)
  • Song Information:
    • Title
    • Lyrics (for original songs) / Artist (for covers)
    • Number of Student Participants and Student Names
    • Grade Levels of Participants
    • Student/Group Photo (Optional)
    • Recording in video format
      • File Name: Should include the student performer(s) name
      • Accepted File Types: .avi, .mov, .mp4
      • For files larger than 25 MB, follow additional submission steps in the submission form.

    • Completed Media Release Form for all song participants:
      • Digital Media Releases are available for smaller groups.
      • For larger groups, please print physical Media Release forms, have them completed by parents/guardians, and scan for submission. Please submit your forms in the order of your list of student names and email the .pdf file to our team: [email protected].
